Manville Democrats Celebrate Swearing‑In of Councilman Christopher Basista and Councilwoman Stefanie Sanchez at 2026 Reorganization Meeting
The Manville Borough Council held its annual Reorganization Meeting on January 3rd, marking an important moment of transition, celebration, and renewed commitment to the community.
During the ceremony, Councilman Christopher Basista and Councilwoman Stefanie Sanchez were officially sworn in to begin their terms on the Borough Council. The oaths of office were administered by Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman, whose presence added a meaningful and memorable touch to the occasion. Surrounded by family, friends, supporters, and fellow elected officials, both Basista and Sanchez stepped into their new roles with gratitude and determination.
For the Manville Democrats, the swearing‑in of Basista and Sanchez represents not only a new chapter in local leadership but also a continued commitment to transparency, collaboration, and community‑driven progress. Both incoming council members bring fresh perspectives, strong community ties, and a shared dedication to strengthening Manville for all residents.
As the new year begins, the Manville Democratic Committee looks forward to supporting Councilman Basista, Councilwoman Sanchez, and Councilwoman Zamorski as they work alongside their colleagues to address local needs, uplift neighborhoods, and build a brighter future for the Borough.
Congratulations to our newly sworn‑in council members -- and thank you to everyone who came out to support this important day for Manville.
