Statement from Councilwoman Zamorski on President Biden's visit to Manville:

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to President Joe Biden on his presence in the Borough of Manville on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. As a Councilwoman for the Borough, I am so grateful and proud that the President of the United States of America decided to come into our municipality.

He toured Manville, spoke with displaced residents, and gave us the support and hope we so desperately need. Manville is just one of the many in the State of New Jersey and the Country that has been affected by Hurricane Ida. Residents, business owners, and renters have all lost everything that they hold near and dear to themselves. Items can be replaced, but lives cannot.

To the naysayers who lined our streets trying to disrespect our President and our Borough, shame on you! This is not a political fight because you do not agree with who our President is. Show respect.

Our town is in need of tremendous assistance. We will receive it and get back on our feet because we are Manville Strong. We are in this together.
