Manville Democratic Club Announces 2024 Candidates

Manville -- The Manville Democratic Club is excited to announce Patricia Zamorski and Christopher Basista as the 2024 Democratic candidates for Manville Borough Council.

Pattie has a long and distinguished career in the Borough, serving 28 years in various roles such as Deputy Municipal Clerk, Registered Municipal Clerk, Human Resources, and Finance. She is a past Member of the Central Jersey Tax Collector's & Treasurer's Association, the Northern NJ Chapter National Institute of Government Purchasing, the Government Finance Officers Association, and the Somerset County Clerks Association.

Pattie was elected to Borough Council in 2018 and served until 2021. While on Council, she chaired the Public Safety committee, working very closely with our first responders. She also served on the Finance and Progress and Development committees, and served as the Council Liaison for the Zoning Board of Adjustment.

Pattie cares deeply about her community and is an active volunteer for the Manville Food Pantry, Christ the Redeemer Summer Festival, and various food and school supply drives.

Christopher is a lifelong Manville resident, an entrepreneur and small business owner. After graduating from Manville High School, he went on to college at DeVry University, majoring in Network & Communications Management. Chris holds an MBA with a concentration in telecommunications from Keller Graduate School of Management and has a track record of successful business ventures.

His entrepreneurial spirit is reflected in his diverse business ventures. At the age of fifteen, he started his first online marketing business, which is still in operation today. He also owns an online radio station and an e-commerce business. These ventures not only showcase Chris' business acumen but also his commitment to fostering a thriving local economy.

Chris is an active member of the Manville Democrats, serving as an elected committeeperson and as Communications Director. He is also an avid volunteer, working with the committee to support the Food Pantry, Back to School Drives, and other community events.

With a fresh perspective and a results-driven approach, Chris is poised to bring about positive change and ensure a stronger future for all residents of Manville.
