Manville -- The Manville Democratic Club held their reorganization convention on Tuesday and elected a new Executive Committee. Roberta G. Walters was elected Chair and former Chair and Councilwoman Patricia Zamorski was elected Vice Chair. Walters, who was previously the Committee Secretary, has been active with the Manville Democrats since 2018, is an elected committee person representing district 5, and a previous candidate for Borough Council. She is currently the President of the Somerset County Federation of Democratic Women, Secretary for the New Jersey Federation of Democratic Women, and member of the Somerset County LGBTQ+ Advisory Board. Zamorski is a lifelong Manville resident, former Councilwoman, an elected committeewoman representing district 3, and for the past year she served as Chair. "Pattie stepped in and lead the Committee when we needed her the most. Her leadership and dedication set us up for success and it is an honor to follow in her footsteps", said Walters. Erin Risch was re-elected Treasurer, Christopher Basista was re-appointed Communications Chair and Christine Sokoloski appointed Secretary.

The Manville Democratic Committee members elected to a 4-year term during the June Primary are Mark Gregor (District 1), Ashley Neuman (District 2), Christine Sokoloski (District 3), Patricia Zamorski and Michael Zamorski (District 4), Roberta Walters and Christopher Basista (District 5), Liam Trilone and Erin Risch (District 7). We are excited at the passion and knowledge each will bring to build the party, engage new members, and get democratic candidates elected.
